My name is Ms. Mandi. I have been a violist (viola player) for 30 years, a violinist for 35 years, a musician and performer for 38 years, a teacher for 13 years, and a mom for 18 years. I believe that everyone has the ability to add beauty to this world through music. Whether it’s singing, playing an instrument, playing the radio, or just supporting a musician, we are all a part of the chain.
I first started teaching when my children were babies. We homeschooled for over 10 years, and music was a big part of our daily life. I eventually started teaching violin in 2005, and my life was changed forever.
I was offered an opportunity to be trained in the Suzuki Talent Education Method in 2013, and I have not regretted it. You can read more about my Philosophy of Education, but, to put it plainly, I know that everyone can. Every child, woman, and man can play a musical instrument. More importantly, everyone can learn what makes beautiful sounds, regardless of their age or experience.
I currently play as Principal Violist in the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, and perform in any opportunities that arise. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I’m happy to help!
